Under the Latin generic name Thymus find family very popular aromatic herbs in folk medicine to its rightful place. These are general Thyme (T. vulgaris), common thyme, also called angustifolium (T. serpyllum) and her other sisters like lemon thyme, early, or oval. A typical feature of these keříkovitých, sometimes creeping, plant is a penetrating aroma and typical, small, relatively rigid leaves and small flowers pale to dark pink. Growing thyme and thyme
The original habitats of these herbs is central and southern Europe, where we can meet on sunny slopes in the forest, at the edges of meadows, even in relatively dry, rocky areas with sandy soil.
